first_imgCatskill Chill Music Festival made its triumphant return this year, stepping into a new venue at Lakewood, PA with an awesome, jam-friendly lineup. The festival saw bluegrass masters Greensky Bluegrass headline the final night of festivities, diving deep into material new and old for fans everywhere to enjoy. The energy of the set was only amplified at the end, when pedal steel guitarist Roosevelt “The Dr.” Collier joined the band on stage for two classic songs: “Will The Circle Be Unbroken?” and “Ain’t No Bread In The Breadbox.”The rich gospel tones of Collier’s lap steel guitar contrasted beautifully with the natural sound that rings from every Greensky note, as evidenced in this full length recording from taper Keith Litzenberger. Take a listen to the music, below. You can also hear the band’s new album, Shouted, Written Down & Quoted, by following this link.Meanwhile, be sure to catch Roosevelt Collier with members of Snarky Puppy, Dopapod and Kung Fu at the second annual Brooklyn Comes Alive festival on October 22, 2016.
